2. Data we collect
We collect the following personal data when you use Vintedify:
- Account information: first name, last name, email address, and password (hashed)
- Usage data: photos you upload, generations you create, and your activity on the platform
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and session data for security and anti-abuse purposes
- Payment data: processed securely by our payment provider Lemon Squeezy — we never store your credit card details
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide and improve the Vintedify service (photo generation, account management)
- To process payments and manage your credit balance
- To send you service-related emails (account verification, password reset, important updates)
- To prevent fraud and abuse through our anti-abuse detection system
4. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We also set an affiliate attribution cookie (affiliate_ref) when a visitor arrives via a partner affiliate link: this cookie has a 90-day lifespan and is used solely to attribute a commission to the partner if a signup or purchase occurs. We also use analytics tools (Umami and PostHog) to understand how our service is used and improve it; these tools collect anonymized usage data without setting any advertising cookie. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.
5. Third-party services
We share data with the following third-party services, solely for the purposes of operating Vintedify:
- Lemon Squeezy: payment processing (your payment data is handled exclusively by them)
- Resend: transactional email delivery (your email address is shared to send you account emails)
- Google (OAuth): if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google
- Lemon Squeezy (affiliate program): if you arrive via an affiliate link, the affiliate identifier is passed to Lemon Squeezy at checkout in order to attribute the corresponding commission to that partner
6. Data retention
Your personal data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is anonymized and your generations are removed. We may retain anonymized data for anti-abuse purposes. Backup copies may persist for up to 30 days after deletion.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: you can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Right of rectification: you can update your personal information in your account settings
- Right of erasure: you can delete your account at any time from your profile settings
